This Privacy Policy describes how Dynamic Balance Physiotherapy & Vestibular Rehab Clinic (“we”, “our”, the “Clinic”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit this website or use our services. We are located at 7170 188 St #105, Surrey, BC V4N 6R4, Canada, and operate under the laws of the Province of British Columbia and Canada.
We comply with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where applicable, and our professional obligations to the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent, and we do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties.

- To process ICBC, WorkSafeBC and extended-health direct-billing claims you authorize

3. Health Information Is Treated As Confidential
Clinical records created during your treatment are protected professional records governed by our obligations as BC-registered physiotherapists. They are accessed only by clinicians involved in your care and administrative staff who require them for billing and scheduling, except:
- where you have provided consent (for example, direct billing to your insurer or lawyer communications for ICBC claims);
- where disclosure is required or permitted by law (for example, a court order or mandatory reporting duties).
You may request access to, or correction of, your clinical record under PIPA using the contact details in section 8.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We share only the minimum information necessary with providers who help us operate:
- Jane App (Jane Software Inc.) — online appointment booking; data handled per their privacy terms
- Email service provider — delivery of form notifications and replies to enquiries
- Google Analytics — aggregate, anonymized traffic statistics
- ICBC / WorkSafeBC / insurers — billing information you authorize us to submit
Some of these providers process information outside of Canada. By providing personal information you consent to it being processed in accordance with this policy; a comparable level of protection applies as required under PIPA.
5. Consent & Electronic Messages (CASL)
We collect, use and disclose personal information with your consent or as permitted by law. Where you subscribe to our health blog updates or request electronic communication, we send commercial electronic messages only in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) — every message identifies us and includes an easy unsubscribe link. You can withdraw consent at any time.
6. Cookies
This website uses a small number of functional cookies and local storage elements strictly necessary for site operation (for example, chat widget preferences and security nonces). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings; core site functions remain available.

Clinical records are retained for the period required by our College and provincial law; general enquiry information is kept only as long as needed for its purpose, then securely destroyed. We protect information with administrative, technical and physical safeguards including restricted access, encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and staff confidentiality obligations.
